I ordered 2 colours of 8ply Superfine merino to check out the colours and to check them with the pattern I purchased from the Bendigo Wool Show in July. Was unable to find the wool anywhere in New Zealand. Tried different wools with the pattern but wasn't happy. Am really pleased I found your site and was able to purchase 2 balls so I could do a tension piece,and check out colours and tension. Haven't done that before, but because this wool is so special and quite expensive I needed to know that my knitting would look right. I have just purchased another 20 balls of Malachite 8ply, so now eagerly await the parcel to arrive in New Zealand so I can knit this pattern for my husband. Will take a long time I know as it needs to be a 120 chest and longer than your pattern states. The first ball I purchased for my tension sample proved to me that it is an extremely good quality wool, and so soft to knit with.
